Credit and Collection Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and assess loan applications, financial documents, and credit data.
• Conduct background and credit investigations to verify applicant information.
• Analyze repayment capacity and recommend approval or disapproval of loan applications.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of loan documentation prior to endorsement.

• Monitor loan accounts and track due dates to ensure timely payments.
• Identify delinquent accounts and implement appropriate collection strategies.
• Maintain updated and accurate borrower records in the system.

• Conduct reminder calls, demand letters, and field visits when necessary.
• Negotiate payment arrangements with delinquent clients.
• Endorse accounts for legal action or repossession when required.
• Prepare collection reports and status updates for management review.

• Ensure all credit and collection activities comply with company policies and lending regulations.
• Maintain proper filing of contracts, promissory notes, and related documents.
• Assist in audit requirements and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• With experience in credit evaluation and collections, preferably in financing or lending industry.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of basic credit investigation and risk assessment.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
