PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Project Architect (Designer) is primarily tasked to aid the Design Manager in planning and designing the architectural aspect for various projects, leading a team of competitive project architects and draftsmen, coordinating with other design professionals and delivering quality projects in an organized and timely manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Aid the Design Manager in leading a competitive team of design architects and aides in delivering the project in an organized and timely manner.
• Attend to the production of drawings, reports, and other submittals.
• Coordinate with team members for the dissemination of workload.
• Reviews and ensures quality, correctness and completeness of design documents, drawings, and specifications before submission to clients.
• Conducts thorough due diligence, site analysis and other studies to determine the environmental impact, zoning regulations and other factors that may influence the design.

• Report to the department head the progress of the project and any problems that may arise.
• Anticipate issues and problems that may hinder the project undertaking or defer its completion and offer solutions in coordination with the department head.
• Prepare project correspondences to secure time suspension, extension, and other requests, and to ensure compliance to all the projects” Terms of Reference.
• Review and ensure quality, correctness and completeness, design documents, drawings, and specifications before submission to clients.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including design files, specifications, and correspondence.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Licensed Architect and UAP-affiliated
• With at least five (5) years of professional experience in architectural design
• With extensive knowledge of architectural design and construction principles, codes, and regulations for buildings.
• With extensive knowledge and experience of the entire design process, from Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Contract Documents, up to Construction Supervision (as needed)
• Proficient in the use of architectural design programs (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Photoshop, Revit, etc.)
• With a portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects, highlighting technical expertise and design innovation
• Highly artistic and creative, able to conceptualize unique and visually compelling designs
• With strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated strong management skills and exemplary work ethic
• Excellent in written and verbal communication
