ob Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Application Developer – z/OS to support and enhance core business applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mainframe technologies and the ability to resolve production issues quickly while ensuring stability and performance of batch and online systems.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, VSAM, and Easytrieve
• Proficiency in mainframe utilities: SORT, ICETOOL, IDCAMS
• Solid understanding of CICS and online transaction processing
• Experience in analyzing job abends and using logs (SYSOUT, SPOOL, JESMSGLG, etc.) for root cause analysis
• Ability to perform impact analysis and deliver quick fixes or workarounds
• Experience with job schedulers such as CA7 or Control-M
• Familiarity with JCL and batch job processing flows
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment
• Willingness to work in shifts or provide on-call support when required

Nice-to-Have Skills (up to 3):

• Experience with scripting or automation on mainframes (e.g., REXX)
• Exposure to mainframe database systems
• Familiarity with Agile or DevOps methodologies

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, modify, and support applications in a mainframe environment
• Analyze and resolve production issues with minimal downtime
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Participate in deployments, testing, and peer reviews
• Ensure high availability and performance of critical business applications
• Maintain technical documentation and adhere to quality standards
