Duties and Responsibilities:
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Code transactions with correct GST treatment (GST, GST-Free, Input Taxed, Export).
- Reconcile GST accounts and prepare supporting workpapers.
- Assist in drafting the BAS for agent review.
- Process supplier invoices and ensure GST is coded correctly.
- Review P&L and Balance Sheet for inconsistencies.
- Liaise with onshore Bookkeepers on queries and support to finalise work.
- Liaise with onshore accountants as required
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a bookkeeper
- Current working experience in Xero
- Hubdoc knowledge would be an advantage, but is not essential
- Knowledge and understanding in Profit and Loss reporting
- Knowledge and understanding of BAS and IAS reporting.
- Experience accessing and use of the ATO portal
- High attention to detail
- Enjoys and is able to problem solve autonomously and think outside the box
- Medical Practice knowledge or experience highly regarded, but not essential for application
Qualifications:
- Secondary education required
- Cert IV in Bookkeeping, or relevant field is preferred but not essential
