Repair Technician Intern (OJT)

Reports To: Technical Services Supervisor / Repair Team Lead

Job Overview:

The Repair Technician Intern will assist the Technical Services Department in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electronic and computer-related equipment. This internship provides hands-on experience in hardware troubleshooting, soldering, preventive maintenance, and technical repair processes within a professional work environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware issues on electronic devices, computers, and peripherals.
• Support repair and maintenance activities for company equipment and technical devices.
• Perform basic to intermediate soldering and desoldering tasks for component replacement and repair.
• Assist in assembling, testing, and quality-checking repaired units and components.
• Help maintain tools, repair stations, and inventory of spare parts and materials.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and cleaning of technical equipment.
• Document repair findings, completed work, and technical reports accurately.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and proper handling of electronic components.
• Provide technical assistance to the repair team as needed.
• Perform other technical and administrative tasks assigned by the department.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree or technical/vocational course in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics Technology, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, electronic components, and troubleshooting.
• Skills in soldering and desoldering are highly preferred.
• Familiarity with using repair tools such as multimeters, soldering irons, and hand tools is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn advanced repair and diagnostic techniques.
• Basic understanding of circuit boards and electronic schematics is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational abilities.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Willing to render onsite internship duties.

Additional Details:

• Willing to sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).
• Daily allowance may be provided.
• A Certificate of Completion will be issued upon successful completion of the internship.
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, office hours, and weekends if required.
