Assistant Video Editor

We are seeking a detail-oriented and methodical Part Time Assistant Video Editor to support the post-production needs of brand and advertising content. This behind-the-scenes role is ideal for someone with solid Adobe Premiere skills and a passion for storytelling through video.

Over time, this role can evolve into a lead video editor position handling full projects end-to-end.

JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ingest, review, and organize raw video footage following established file management protocols.
• Curate and cut video selections based on direction and project briefs.
• Deliver structured Adobe Premiere project files with footage and selects clearly labeled and organized.
• Occasionally create a first draft of final video edits, following briefs.
• Maintain organization, meet deadlines, and ensure no key footage is missed during the editing process.
• Collaborate directly with the client, offering suggestions for workflow improvements where appropriate.

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in video editing or assistant video editing roles and is proficient to Adobe Premiere (required), Adobe After Effects & Adobe Lightroom
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong storytelling ability through visual media
• High initiative, proactive work style, and thoughtful execution
• Ability to work independently and follow structured workflows

TYPE OF POSITION, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

• Part Time Position - 10 hours per week (Potentially require more hours in the long run)
• Work From Home Set up
• Can work between 9AM to 6PM AEST
• Laptop / Desktop (Minimum requirements 16GB RAM, i7 processor & Windows 10)
• Internet Speed (Minimum of 15 MBPS}
