IT Software Engineer

Knowles Electronics (Philippines) Corporation is looking for an IT Software Engineer to design, develop, maintain, and support software applications that enable efficient business operations. The role involves application development, system maintenance, troubleshooting, and second‑level user support while adhering to quality, delivery, and cost standards.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications based on functional specifications
• Analyze business and system requirements to deliver appropriate technical solutions
• Provide second‑level application support and troubleshoot system issues raised by end users
• Maintain and enhance existing applications to ensure reliability, efficiency, and usability
• Prepare technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and user support materials
• Work closely with internal users and other IT teams to ensure effective application support
• Ensure compliance with software development standards, procedures, and documentation requirements
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance user experience and system performance
• Support month‑end activities to ensure smooth IT‑related transactions with minimal disruption
• Provide regular status updates and reports on assigned tasks and projects

Educational Background

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or other IT‑ or Engineering‑related disciplines

• At least 2–3 years of experience in application development, with hands‑on involvement in supporting multiple business applications
• Solid understanding and practical exposure to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Proficient in one or more programming and development technologies, including but not limited to:
• ASP / ASP.NET, C / C++, Visual Basic, Java, JavaScript, HTML, PL/SQL, and Oracle Developer tools
• Experience in application analysis, design, development, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Ability to provide second‑level application support and resolve system issues efficiently
• Familiar with documentation standards, coding best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
