The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for developing, guiding and managing supply chain strategies and operations involving customer service, procurement and supplies, logistics, and inventory planning. Directs and coordinates the logistics of all aspects of the supply chain in terms of planning and strategy, sourcing of materials, delivery and logistics, as well as reverse logistics.
STRATEGY- Promotes a work environment that provides timely and quality delivery through provision of supplies and materials, and delivery of finished goods to customers.
- Leads the development and evolution of organizational and technological capabilities that deliver operational efficiency, people empowerment, improved reach and access, and support for existing and emerging business models.
- Protects the Corporation’s reputation in the industry and with all stakeholders (customers, communities, government, regulatory bodies, employees, etc.)
- Revisits group’s adherence to the organization’s mission and vision through effective communication to internal stakeholders.
- Review’s strategies implemented and revisits it to attain better cost savings outcomes.
- Focuses on long-term capacity planning, warehouse space availability, and transport management.
- Review’s manpower requirements for the Supply Chain Group.
- Oversees storage plan, product deliveries and distribution.
- Oversees alternative sources and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services by procurement team.
- Oversees delivery schedule, preventive maintenance schedule of vehicles, and route scheduling.
- Approves inventory plan, accreditation of suppliers, and delivery plan.
- Plans and manages the Department’s budget and ensures the expenditures are within approved budget limit and identifies areas of cost-savings interventions to enhance the department’s operational effectiveness.
- Sets departmental objectives, team deliverables and links KRAs/KPIs with Performance Management System.
- Manages team interactions, provides timely and constructive feedback, guides the subordinates in their work, addresses performance issues, and identifies training and developmental needs of the department.
- Identifies and oversees year-long schedule of training programs.
- Initiates team spirit and camaraderie in Supply Chain.
- Identifies high potentials to be included in the succession table and ensures that proper learning and development programs are adhered upon to ensure readiness of high potential employees.
- Lead the cascades and roll-out of Rex Culture in Supply Chain Management Group.
- Supports cascade and implementation of programs that engage employees and inspires them to practice Rex Core Values.
- Creates an environment that encourages teamwork, promotes information sharing, elicits concern and commitments, and celebrates collective milestones and victories.
- Facilitates avenues for teams to build a sense of oneness.
- Ensures establishment and consistent implementation of people management thrusts in Supply Chain to engage and inspire employees.
- Ensures the design and implementation of integrated, seamless processes embedding Supply Chain quality management from front-end to back-end operations.
- Reviews and assesses result of organizational performance of Supply Chain to identify areas for improvement in the processes, standards, controls, and measures to support the organization’s way of working, driving effectiveness and efficiency.
- Improves operational policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety.
- Sets up Induction Program for the department.
- Conducts functional, cross-functional, and ad-hoc meetings to discuss, identify issues and obstacles, and agree on action points to guarantee timely execution of strategies and programs. Prepares and presents monthly Business Review reports, mid-year and year-end business continuity plan, Annual Operating Plan.
- Establishes reliable reporting mechanisms that allow pertinent information to flow freely throughout Supply Chain such as On-Time, In-Full, Inventory and Delivery Reports.
- Oversees consistent implementation of employee discipline in Supply Chain Group.
- Establishes decision matrix as a guide for sound decision-making and seamless process.
- Ensures that budget approved are adhered and strictly monitored.
- Performs other tasks that might be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree preferably in Industrial Engineering, with Master’s Degree/Units related to Business Program.
Experience(s):
Minimum of fifteen (15) years working experience in Supply Chain Management, with at least ten (10) years of progressive leadership role in a managerial capacity handling the full spectrum of Supply Chain.
Specific Knowledge:
Vendor Management, Warehouse Management, Inventory Management, Logistics Management, Procurement Management, Fixed Asset Management.
Business Understanding: Best practices in Supply Chain, Familiarity with Philippine Geography, Contract Management, Negotiation Skills.
