Safety Officer (Solar Project)

Location: On-site
Project Duration: 6 Months

Work Schedule: 6 Working Days

Job Description

The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, and promoting compliance with health and safety standards. The role supports daily site operations by preventing accidents, managing risks, and ensuring all personnel adhere to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures on site
Conduct daily site inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments
Identify risks and ensure immediate corrective actions
Investigate incidents and prepare reports with recommendations
Conduct safety trainings, toolbox meetings, and orientations
Monitor compliance of tools, equipment, and work practices (scaffolding, electrical, LOTO, etc.)
Prepare and maintain safety reports and documentation for compliance
Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and management on safety matters
Assist in emergency preparedness and drills implementation
Support EHS Manager in overall safety program execution

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any related field
With COSH Certification (advantage)
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
With experience in construction projects is an advantage
Experience in high-rise building projects is an advantage
Knowledgeable in occupational safety standards and compliance
Strong attention to detail and risk assessment skills
Good communication and coordination skills
Can work on-site and handle field-based environment
