About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced SEO Specialist to grow organic traffic and revenue for our ecommerce store. This role is focused on improving rankings for high-intent keywords, increasing product/category page visibility, and driving measurable sales through SEO.
You’ll work across technical SEO, on-page optimisation, content strategy, and link building — with a strong focus on performance, reporting, and ROI.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Strategy & Growth- Build and execute an SEO strategy to increase organic traffic, rankings, and ecommerce revenue
- Identify and prioritise keyword opportunities across product, category, and blog content
- Create quarterly SEO roadmaps and track progress against targets
- Run regular technical audits (site speed, indexing, crawlability, structured data, canonical issues)
- Work with developers to implement fixes and improvements
- Optimise Core Web Vitals, mobile usability, and site architecture
- Manage redirects, broken links, duplicate content, and sitemap health
- Optimise category, product, and collection pages for SEO and conversions
- Improve internal linking structure for crawl depth and ranking strength
- Write and optimise metadata (titles, descriptions), headings, and page copy
- Ensure SEO best practices across new product uploads and site updates
- Plan and optimise SEO content that supports buyer intent (guides, FAQs, comparisons)
- Develop content briefs for writers (keyword targets, structure, competitor insights)
- Improve existing content performance through refreshes and re-optimisation
- Build a backlink strategy focused on quality and relevance
- Identify outreach opportunities (supplier links, PR, partnerships, niche directories)
- Monitor backlink profile health and disavow harmful links if needed
- Track performance using GA4, Google Search Console, and SEO tools
- Provide clear monthly reports including traffic, rankings, conversions, and revenue
- Identify what’s working, what isn’t, and what to do next
- 2+ years experience in SEO, ideally for ecommerce
- Strong understanding of technical SEO fundamentals
- Proven experience improving rankings and organic revenue (case studies preferred)
- Experience with Shopify
- Strong keyword research and competitor analysis skills
- Comfortable working with GA4, Search Console, and SEO tools
- Experience with Shopify SEO
- Experience with product feed optimisation (Google Merchant Center)
- CRO knowledge (conversion rate optimisation)
- Copywriting experience for product/category pages
- Familiarity with schema markup for ecommerce (Product, FAQ, Review schema)
- Google Analytics (GA4)
- Google Search Console
- Ahrefs / SEMrush / Moz (any one is fine)
- Screaming Frog (or similar)
- Shopify / WordPress / ecommerce CMS experience
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge (helpful but not required)
- Organic traffic growth (sessions)
- Keyword ranking improvements (especially buyer-intent keywords)
- Organic revenue and conversion rate improvements
- Increased indexed pages and improved crawl health
- Improved Core Web Vitals and technical site health scores
