Learning & Development Coordinator (Hybrid)

Role will be part of the Synchrony Asia HR/L&D team which is dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the company. The L&D team plays a key role in shaping the company’s workforce and helping employees unlock their full potential.
ROLE SUMMARY
This role is will support the end-to-end coordination and operational management of employee learning programs in India and Philippines, with a strong focus on leadership and behavioural trainings. This role partners closely with HR and business stakeholders to plan, schedule, and deliver high-quality in-person and virtual learning experiences.The incumbent will manage training logistics, track learning metrics, analyze program data, and publish actionable reports that support business and L&D priorities.
This position is ideal for candidates with 1–2+ years of hands-on experience in training coordination, who have demonstrated experience in most of the following:
- Coordinating & scheduling leadership/behavioural trainings
- Tracking and reporting of L&D programs
- Partnering with external learning vendors
- Project management
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordination and scheduling: Organizing and coordinating logistics for training programs including scheduling, booking venues, arranging resources, and communicating with participants.
- Project management: Overseeing execution of L&D projects from start to finish, ensuing deadlines are met, budgets are followed, and outcomes align with organizational goals.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of all training activities and generating reports on training utilization, outcomes, participant progress, program effectiveness and budget utilization for leadership review.
- Content development: Work closely with local learning partners to co-develop training content that aligns with the learning objectives of defined global learning offerings.
- External partner coordination: Manage external learning partner relationships and ensure adherence to process governance.
- 1–2+ years of experience in training coordination / learning operations / L&D support (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in most of the following: scheduling leadership/behavioural trainings, L&D reporting, vendor coordination, project management.
- Strong hands-on reporting experience using Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (minimum 6 months+).
- Experience supporting virtual training delivery tools (e.g., MS Teams/Zoom) and managing training logistics (preferred).
- Graduate degree in any discipline (HR/L&D exposure preferred).
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with employees, external learning partners, global learning partners, facilitators, and leaders.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changes in training scheduled, program requirements and organizational priorities.
- Problem solving skills: The ability to troubleshoot issues related to training logistics, scheduling, participant concerns etc. quickly and efficiently.
- Teamwork and collaboration: Ability to work closely with multiple teams, both internal and external across geographies.
- At least 6 months strong experience in Reporting using Advance Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Amenable to be under a third party agency
WORK TIMINGS:
This role requires some flexibility with work timings. On most days the incumbent would need to be available between 07:00 AM – 4:00 PM Eastern Time, with the hours flexible, unless there is an exceptional business need. When there is a training program or learning session being conducted, the incumbent would be expected to flex their schedules to be available for the entire duration of the program.
