Senior Cloud Security Engineer - Manila

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Support establishment and operation of SRPH Security team and develop cloud security standards
• Evaluate and respond to alerts and events from the security tools, including tuning of tool configuration to minimize false positives, development of event response documentation and processes
• Work with the Cloud Operations Team in the definition and implementation of security standards and best practices
• Develop and maintain documentation and diagrams for security tools, system environments, and cloud operations
• Collaborate with SRPH development and operations teams to design and implement cloud security solutions
• Work within a DevSecOps model so that security is automated and elastic across all cloud platforms
• Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for security tools, applications and processes
• Stay updated with modern security best practices, technologies and emerging threats
• Mentors junior engineers through structured learning and ad hoc setups
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Main Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working with a public cloud infrastructure
• Experience deploying and customizing security tools such as vulnerability scanners, static analyzers, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security monitoring
• Experience using CI/CD pipelines for change management and automated security testing
• Experience with networking and Unix/Linux servers
• Experience developing software with object-oriented languages such as Python, Java, C++, or Ruby
• Experience with database programming and administration
• Experience with log management and/or correlation systems
• Fluent in one or more programming or scripting language
• Thorough understanding of cloud and network security
• Ability to write SQL queries and build dashboards and reports
• Knowledge of networking and web protocols
• Knowledge of modern cloud technology components and deployment patterns
• Should have mentored junior engineers through direct reporting; or classroom set up; or ad hoc mentoring.

Additional Requirements:

• Certification related to Cloud Technologies: AWS, Azure, GCP; Kubernetes; Networking is a plus
• Relevant technology management, project management (PMP), or software development certification (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus
• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
