Perform MRI procedures following physician orders and established protocols
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring comfort and safety
  • Screen patients for MRI contraindications (e.g., implants, metal objects)
  • Operate MRI equipment and adjust settings for optimal image quality
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond to emergencies if needed
  • Administer contrast media as prescribed (if certified/authorized)
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
  • Follow infection control, radiation safety, and hospital policies
  • Perform routine equipment checks and report malfunctions
  • Assist in other imaging modalities if cross-trained (e.g., X-ray, CT)
Qualifications
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
  • Licensure/Certification:
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (e.g., by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or local equivalent such as PRC license in the Philippines)
  • MRI certification or training preferred (ARRT MRI or equivalent)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience:
  • At least 1–2 years of hospital experience as a RadTech
  • Hands-on experience in MRI procedures in a clinical or hospital setting
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of MRI protocols and safety standards
  • Ability to handle emergency and trauma cases
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills
  • Attention to detail in image acquisition and documentation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • Team collaboration and adaptability to shifting schedules
Work Environment
  • Hospital-based (inpatient, outpatient, ER coverage)
  • May require shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Exposure to patients with various medical conditions
Preferred Qualifications (Optional but Advantageous)
  • Experience with advanced MRI techniques (e.g., contrast-enhanced studies, MRA, functional MRI)
  • Cross-training in CT or other imaging modalities
  • Experience working in tertiary or high-volume hospitals
