Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in materials planning, supply planning, or buyer/planner roles within a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with Kinaxis (RapidResponse or Maestro)
  • Working proficiency in Oracle EBS or SAP, including MRP, purchasing, and inventory modules
  • Strong knowledge of MRP logic, safety stock methodologies, and inventory health management, including coverage, aging, and excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze and interpret raw planning data
  • Experience collaborating with Supply Planning, Production Planning, Sourcing, External Operations, Quality, Master Data, and Customer Service in a cross-functional planning environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence suppliers and internal stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in OTC pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or other FDA-regulated (cGMP) manufacturing environments
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
  • Exposure to BI or analytics tools such as Apache Superset, Power BI, or SQL
  • Experience working within a Planning Center of Excellence (CoE) or a similarly governed planning environment

Responsibilities

MRP & Supply Execution
  • Execute weekly MRP cycles by placing, expediting, deferring, and canceling purchase orders while managing the complete purchase order lifecycle from placement through receipt
Supplier Management
  • Manage supplier relationships by maintaining supplier schedules, monitoring order confirmations and on-time delivery, and driving supplier accountability to committed delivery dates
Inventory Policy & Safety Stock
  • Govern safety stock parameters within CoE guidelines while monitoring inventory coverage, health, aging, and leading monthly inventory policy reviews for the assigned portfolio
E&O Prevention & Disposition
  • Prevent excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory by identifying early warning indicators, recommending disposition actions with quantified financial impacts, documenting root causes, and implementing corrective actions
Data Quality & Parameter Stewardship
  • Maintain planning master data accuracy, including lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), lot sizes, safety stock levels, and planning parameters, while coordinating audits and updates with Master Data and Supply Planning
S&OE & Exception Management
  • Resolve material planning exceptions within service level agreements (SLAs), participate in weekly Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) meetings, and align recovery plans with Customer Service for material-driven delays
Escalation
  • Escalate supplier capacity, lead-time, or yield risks beyond planning guardrails by presenting recommended solutions to Supply Planning leadership and Sourcing
Decision Rights & Scope of Authority
  • Adjust safety stock parameters within approved CoE governance limits
  • Recommend excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory disposition actions supported by quantified financial impact analysis
Performance Measures
  • Monitor supplier on-time, in-full (OTIF) performance
  • Ensure on-time purchase order (PO) placement
  • Monitor excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory trends and aging
  • Track inventory turns and days of supply by segment
  • Maintain planning parameter compliance in accordance with Planning Center of Excellence (CoE) audit requirements
