POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Officer will oversee the day-to-day implementation of the RAC vocational training program, ensuring smooth coordination among trainees, trainers, and partner organizations. The role includes trainee identification, training facilitation, supervision in their in-house training, facilitation of the trainees’ job placement, and project monitoring.
Essential Responsibilities:
A. Trainee Identification & Screening- Conduct community outreach to identify potential trainees from low-income backgrounds.
- Administer screening processes (interviews, assessments) to select qualified candidates especially the 18 years old and above who graduated from the Good Neighbors programs.
- Ensure inclusivity by prioritizing marginalized youth (ages 18–30) with limited employment opportunities.
- Work closely with TESDA-certified trainers at the TESDA Training Center in Cainta, Rizal, to ensure effective delivery of the RAC curriculum.
- Procure and manage training materials, tools, and equipment.
- Monitor trainee attendance, progress, and welfare throughout the 35-day training.
- Act as a house parent during the TESDA training, residing in the dormitory to supervise trainees.
- Coordinate with RAC service providers and LG Electronics for apprenticeship and job placement opportunities.
- Organize career coaching, job-matching sessions, and employer networking events.
- Assist graduates in accessing microloans from Good Neighbors Social Development and Microfinance, Inc. (SDMI) and business development support for entrepreneurship.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Good Neighbors, TESDA, LG Electronics, and local service providers.
- Facilitate project monitoring visits and reporting requirements.
- Document project activities, success stories, and challenges for reporting.
- Track trainee performance, certification rates, and employment outcomes.
- Prepare monthly progress reports and submit to the Social Development Division Manager.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines, budgets, and donor expectations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, Technical-Vocational Education, or related fields.
- 1–2 years of experience in NGO project implementation, preferably in livelihood or technical-vocational programs.
- Experience in TESDA-accredited programs or RAC training is a strong advantage.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work with marginalized communities and diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in monitoring, reporting, and documentation.
- Willingness to reside in San Isidro, Rodriguez, Rizal, and stay in the dormitory during training.
- Problem-solving mindset and adaptability to fieldwork challenges.
