Senior Manager - External Affairs & Government Relations

Key Responsibilities:

External Communication:

• Develop and implement strategies for corporate communication, public relations, and brand positioning.
• Serve as spokesperson in key public engagements or media interactions.
• Ensure alignment of messaging across external channels.

Business Relations:

• Build and maintain relationships with key industry players, business partners, chambers of commerce, and trade associations.
• Identify collaboration opportunities to support business expansion and influence in the market.
• Represent the company in business networking events and forums.

Government Affairs:

• Manage relationships with local and national government agencies and regulators.
• Track and analyze relevant policies, regulations, and legislative changes that may impact the business.
• Prepare and submit documentation or position papers on behalf of the company when necessary.
• Facilitate government registrations, compliance, permits, and renewals.

Crisis Management & Advocacy:

• Advise management on external risks and reputation management strategies.
• Lead engagement plans during crises involving regulatory or public scrutiny.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Political Science, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in external affairs, government relations, or corporate communication.
• Strong network within relevant government bodies and business communities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to operate with discretion, diplomacy, and sound judgment.
