Senior DevOps Engineer - Manila

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, provisioning, and optimization of AWS infrastructure to meet application requirements.
• Implement and maintain best practices for security, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Lead the utilization of Infrastructure as Code tools to automate the provisioning and configuration of AWS resources.
• Ensure consistency, repeatability, and adherence to best practices in infrastructure deployments.
• Architect, implement, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines for applications hosted on AWS.
• Automate the build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
• Lead the implementation and management of containerized applications using Docker.
• Optimize containerized workloads for scalability and efficiency.
• Lead scripting and automation initiatives to streamline operational tasks and workflows.
• Mentor the team in scripting best practices and automation strategies.
• Establish and maintain advanced monitoring solutions for tracking the performance and health of AWS resources.
• Lead the implementation of centralized logging systems for effective troubleshooting.
• Ensure and enforce security compliance in AWS environments.
• Lead incident response efforts in case of security breaches or vulnerabilities.
• Lead collaboration with software development teams to integrate CI/CD practices into the development workflow.
• Provide support for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation for DevOps processes, procedures, and configurations.
• Promote knowledge sharing within the team and contribute to continuous learning.
• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in DevOps practices.
• Introduce innovative solutions and emerging technologies to enhance the efficiency of development processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• At least 3 years experience as DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role.
• Proficiency with GIT and Github workflows, knowledge in database management, server management
• Obtain relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, to validate skills in AWS cloud services and DevOps practices.
• Proficient in AWS services for provisioning, managing, and optimizing cloud resources.
• Expertise in CI/CD tools, with a focus on GitLab CI/CD for building, testing, testing, and deploying applications.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for automating infrastructure deployment.
• Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker for packaging applications and Kubernetes for orchestration.
• Scripting skills in languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby for automation and configuration management.
• Proficient in using Git for version control and understanding branching strategies.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch) and logging solutions to ensure system health and performance.
• Understanding of networking concepts and how they apply to cloud environments.
• Awareness of security best practices in cloud environments and the implementation of security measures.
