Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager.

The Manager, FP&A is responsible for leading financial planning, performance management, and strategic decision support for the FMCG business. This role partners closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Operations teams to drive profitable growth, optimize resource allocation, and ensure robust financial governance across the organization.

What are the Roles and Responsibilities?
  • Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Lead FP&A activities for the Philippine business, including monthly performance reviews, variance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Deliver timely and relevant financial insights on sales, margins, trade spend, operating costs, and working capital.
  • Analyze business performance considering local market factors such as inflation, FX movements, commodity price volatility, and consumer trends.
  1. Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and commercial priorities.
  • Drive monthly and quarterly forecasting cycles, including sales, gross margin, OPEX, CAPEX, and working capital.
  • Analyze deviations between actuals, budget, and forecast, and recommend corrective actions.
  1. Business Partnering
  • Act as a trusted finance business partner to Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
  • Provide financial evaluation of pricing strategies, promotions, new product launches, and channel initiatives.
  • Support distributor and customer profitability analysis, ensuring sustainable growth in a highly competitive FMCG landscape.
  1. Profit & Loss (P&L) Management
  • Own and manage the full P&L, ensuring strong visibility on revenue, costs, margins, and profitability drivers.
  • Monitor cost efficiency, productivity, and ROI across functions and business units.
  • Identify margin improvement and cost optimization opportunities.
  1. Transfer Pricing, Intercompany & Affiliate Accounting
  • Oversee transfer pricing methodologies to ensure compliance with group policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and settlement processes with affiliates.
  • Support documentation and reporting requirements related to intercompany and affiliate accounting.
  1. Annual Business Planning & OGSM
  • Lead the Annual Business Planning (ABP) exercise, ensuring financial robustness and strategic alignment.
  • Drive medium‑ to long‑term OGSM (Objectives, Goals, Strategies, Measures) planning, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
  • Translate strategic plans into financial targets, milestones, and performance indicators.
  1. Automation & Digitization
  • Lead or support automation and digitization initiatives within FP&A and broader finance processes.
  • Improve data accuracy, efficiency, and speed through system enhancements, reporting automation, and analytics tools.
  • Partner with IT, Shared Services, and Regional Finance teams to implement best‑in‑class finance solutions.
  1. Audit & Financial Governance (Plus)
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring timely and accurate financial analysis and documentation.
  • Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and financial governance practices.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  1. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Manage, coach, and develop FP&A team members to build a high‑performing finance team.
  • Collaborate with regional and global finance stakeholders on reporting, planning, and strategic initiatives.
  • Communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to non‑finance audiences.
What are the Qualifications?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant finance experience, with at least 3–5 years in an FP&A or commercial finance role within an FMCG, consumer goods, or fast‑paced operating environment
  • Working knowledge of transfer pricing, intercompany transactions, and affiliate accounting in a multinational or shared‑services setup is an advantage
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification is an advantage but not required
