Job Summary
The Windows Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Windows-based servers, systems, and infrastructure. This role ensures the stability, security, and performance of IT environments while providing technical support, troubleshooting, and system upgrades to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, administer, and maintain Windows Server environments and related infrastructure.
- Manage and support Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print services.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
- Perform server patching, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery activities.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, access controls, and security policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, server, and network-related issues.
- Support virtualization platforms and cloud-based Windows environments when applicable.
- Implement and maintain system monitoring, antivirus, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support infrastructure projects and system enhancements.
- Document system configurations, procedures, troubleshooting guides, and operational processes.
- Ensure compliance with IT security standards, policies, and best practices.
