Job Title: Accounting Officer
Job Summary
The Accounting Officer is responsible for supporting the organization’s financial operations by maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Record and maintain daily financial transactions in the accounting system
- Prepare journal entries, vouchers, and supporting documents
- Perform bank reconciliation and monitor cash balances
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax requirements and government remittances
- Monitor expenses and ensure proper cost allocation
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
- 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience
- Knowledge in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and taxation
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Good communication and organizational skills
