Part-Time Trade Spend Consultant

Schedule: Must be available from 1:00 PM PST onwards

Compensation: Hourly rate with monthly payout.

A growing company in the food manufacturing industry is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Trade Spend Consultant to support finance operations on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong experience in trade spend analysis, customer deductions, and reconciliation processes within a distribution-heavy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage trade spend analysis and reconciliation across large wholesale distributors, retail partners, and major ecommerce/consumer sales channels
• Review and reconcile trade promotions, chargebacks, billbacks, customer deductions, and related fees
• Prepare accurate trade spend reconciliations and maintain complete supporting documentation for month-end close
• Coordinate with accounting and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting and timely resolution of discrepancies
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve trade spend tracking and internal controls

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in trade spend management, deduction reconciliation, and distribution channel accounting
• Strong understanding of trade promotions, chargebacks, billbacks, and customer fee structures
• Experience working with large wholesale distributors and retail partners
• Background in food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or similar industries highly preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail

Engagement Details:

• Part-time consultancy engagement
• Approximately 10–20 hours per month (flexible workload based on business needs)
• Must be available to work starting at 1:00 PM PST onwards
