Qualifications:

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in the relevant role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • Strong technical accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
  • Intermediate understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures.
  • Intermediate understanding of financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, Xero, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities

Desirable Criteria:

  • Relevant Experience:
Experience in US-based CPA or Accounting firm
  • Knowledge and Skillset: Understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards. Familiarity with full-cycle accounting processes including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end close. Exposure to client billing processes and professional service workflows. Ability to interpret financial reports and identify discrepancies or trends.
  • Client Service Exposure: Experience in client billing or professional services environment.
  • Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Responsibilities:

  1. Transaction Processing and Record Maintenance
  2. Record daily transactions including cash receipts and billable expenses.
  3. Reconcile accounts receivable and cash deposits accurately and promptly.
  4. Process and verify employee expense reports in line with policy.
  5. Track and maintain records for prepaid expenses and recurring charges.
  6. Assist in maintaining fixed asset records and schedules.
  7. Handle and manage multiple priorities, and deliver projects and engagement on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
  8. Complete tasks and projects in accordance with defined procedures and quality parameters, with minimal errors.
  9. Month-End and Reporting Support
  10. Assist with monthly closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  11. Prepare basic financial reports and assigned schedules.
  12. Maintain organized documentation for all financial activities.
  13. Support senior accountants in audit preparation and reporting.
  14. Client Coordination and Communication
  15. Maintain effective communication with client stakeholders throughout the engagement process.
  16. Participate in regular status updates, walkthroughs, and closing meetings.
  17. Address client queries in a timely and professional manner.
  18. Adapt to each client's audit tools, methodologies, and documentation systems as required.
  19. Professional Growth and Team Collaboration
  20. Take initiative in learning opportunities and seek feedback for improvement.
  21. Participate in training sessions and team meetings as required.
  22. Assist in knowledge-sharing efforts across the audit team.
  23. Demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and accountability for assigned responsibilities.
