Finance Section Head - Accounts Receivable

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Section Head leads the accounts receivable team to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely collection of payments and management of customer accounts. This role is responsible for overseeing billing processes, resolving escalated issues, managing cash application, and maintaining a strong internal control environment.

• Supervise the day-to-day activities of the accounts receivable team, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and cash application.
• Monitor aging reports and lead efforts to reduce days sales outstanding (DSO) and improve overall collection performance.
• Review and approve account adjustments, credit memos, and write-offs in line with company policy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including accounts payable, operations, and customer service to resolve complex billing and payment issues.
• Conduct regular account reconciliations and ensure proper documentation and audit trails.
• Develop and implement AR policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including BPC and audit support.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate AR staff to ensure high performance and continuous development.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and relevant regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in accounts receivable management, including a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong skills in data analysis, account reconciliation, and financial reporting
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
