Accounts Payable Supervisor

What does a day in the life of an Accounts Payable Supervisor look like?- Supervise and lead the accounts payable team, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, payment runs, and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and other payables.
- Monitor and analyze accounts payable data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
- Prepare and review accounts payable reports, including aging reports, accruals, and other financial data.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all accounts payable transactions are accurately recorded.
- Maintain and update vendor records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in audits, providing documentation and support as needed.
- Stay current with industry best practices and relevant regulations to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Nice-to-have NetSuite and Coupa (tools background)
- Must have a minimum of two years of experience in Accounts Payable (Sr Role, Lead, or Supervisory).
- A two-year degree in Business or Accounting is preferred.
- Possess strong computer skills, including MS Word and MS Excel, be detail-oriented, have excellent critical thinking skills, and be able to respond to issues in a timely manner while working in a fast-paced environment.
