Cost accounting and fixed asset manager

The Cost Accounting and Fixed Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing cost accounting functions and managing the company’s fixed assets. The role focuses on cost control, profitability analysis, and accurate recording, valuation, and monitoring of fixed assets in compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures
• Analyze product, project, or service costs, including materials, labor, and overhead
• Prepare cost reports, variance analysis, and profitability studies
• Monitor budgets and investigate cost variances against actual results
• Support pricing, budgeting, forecasting, and management decision-making
• Work closely with operations and procurement teams to improve cost efficiency

• Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate and complete asset records
• Oversee asset capitalization, depreciation, revaluation, impairment, and disposal
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax rules, and internal policies
• Conduct and coordinate periodic physical inventory of fixed assets
• Reconcile fixed asset records with general ledger accounts
• Prepare fixed asset schedules and reports for management and auditors

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
• Support internal and external audits by providing cost and fixed asset documentation
• Assist in tax reporting related to cost and fixed asset transactions
• Recommend improvements to cost control and asset management processes

Qualifications, knowledge, skills required:

• Must possess at least a college/bachelor’s degree in accountancy
• Must be a Certified Public Accountant
• Must have at least 7 years of working experience in equivalent capacity, supervisory/managerial experience in Audit Firm/Accounting Firm
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems
• Experience in cost accounting and fixed asset management
• Able to work effectively with all levels of management
• Result-oriented, self-motivated, and with strong analytical skills
• Good communication skills and ability to direct and supervise
