We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our internal finance team remotely. This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations for at least three portfolio companies simultaneously.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, experience across multiple industries, and familiarity with NetSuite ERP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain full-cycle accounting for multiple portfolio companies (manufacturing, distribution, and real estate).
  • Record journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage AP/AR, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Support audits and tax preparation processes in coordination with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Utilize NetSuite to process and manage financial data across client entities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-client or multi-entity environment.
  • Preferably with experience in construction pay applications and bank draws.
  • Real estate experience is a must.
  • Industry experience in manufacturing and distribution strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite ERP required.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working in a private equity or investment firm environment.
  • Familiarity with consolidations and intercompany transactions.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
