Finance Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Management and Direction

• Supports the development, planning, monitoring, and evaluation of the Finance Department's strategic objectives, goals, and initiatives.
• Assists in aligning financial strategies and departmental objectives with overall business goals.
• Supports annual budget planning, forecasting, and financial performance reviews.
• Serves as a finance resource and advisor to Operations Management on process improvements, financial initiatives, and business transformation projects.
• Contributes to the implementation and evaluation of finance strategies that support organizational growth and operational excellence.

1. Finance and Accounting Operations

• Supports and oversees finance and accounting functions within the assigned mall.
• Manages daily finance and accounting operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensures compliance with statutory, regulatory, legal, and tax requirements.
• Reviews, consolidates, monitors, and evaluates budgets and financial performance.
• Oversees funds management, cash controls, and asset management activities.
• Analyzes financial data and trends to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Provides financial insights and recommendations on budgeting, cash flow, revenue generation, and business projects.
• Maintains effective internal controls and compliance with financial reporting standards.
• Monitors operating results against approved budgets and financial targets.
• Coordinates external audits, compliance reviews, and tax assessments.
• Oversees bookkeeping and the recording of financial transactions.
• Ensures timely filing and payment of taxes, permits, and government obligations.
• Ensures accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Prepares and submits required financial, operational, and management reports, including MOPAC, MIS reports, and consolidated financial reports.

1. People Management and Supervision

• Coaches, mentors, and develops team members to enhance performance and professional growth.
• Oversees onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
• Supports employee development, succession planning, and career growth initiatives.
• Conducts performance management activities, including goal setting, coaching, and feedback sessions.
• Provides timely recognition, rewards, and corrective actions when necessary.
• Identifies departmental resource and operational requirements.
• Trains, motivates, and develops staff to maintain high levels of productivity and effectiveness.
• Delegates responsibilities appropriately to optimize team performance and accountability.

1. Stakeholder Management and Relationship Building

• Builds and maintains positive working relationships with management, business partners, consultants, and government agencies.
• Serves as a key finance contact for inquiries, policy clarifications, and issue resolution.
• Supports collaboration across departments to achieve organizational objectives and improve business processes.

1. Other Responsibilities

• Performs other duties and management-assigned functions as required.
