About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join the team at LEC STEEL MANUFACTURING CORP.' in Quezon City, Metro Manila. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, goods, and services to support our manufacturing operations.This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth within the organisation.
What you'll be doing- Collaborate with production and inventory management teams to forecast material requirements and develop purchasing plans
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate favourable contract terms, and manage supplier relationships
- Prepare and process purchase orders, track deliveries, and monitor supplier performance
- Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities and provide regular reports to management
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures
- Identify opportunities to optimise purchasing processes and drive cost savings
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant industry regulations
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Familiarity with inventory management principles and just-in-time (JIT) production systems
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Certification in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management is an advantage
