Job Summary
The Assistant Finance & Admin Head supports the Finance & Admin Group Head in managing the overall financial and administrative functions of the organization. This role is designed as a developmental/trainee position, preparing the incumbent to assume higher leadership responsibilities.The role involves participation in strategic planning, financial management, compliance, and cross-functional coordination to ensure organizational stability and growth.
This position is structured as a succession and training role for the Finance & Admin Group Head. The incumbent is expected to progressively assume higher responsibilities and demonstrate readiness for leadership within a defined development timeline.
Principal Accountabilities- Assists in collaborating with the President, General Manager, Chairman, and Board of Directors (BOD) in the execution of business strategies to achieve financial goals and targets.
- Supports the Group Head in overseeing the overall strategy, goals, and operations of Finance & Administration functions, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Assists in the conceptualization, development, and implementation of financial policies and initiatives to promote financial health, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Participates in handling financial communications and supports the resolution of financial issues, legal/administrative matters, and banking relationships.
- Assists in the preparation and presentation of Financial Statements to the BOD/Stockholders and contributes to financial analysis and recommendations for long-term growth.
- Monitors and helps ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), corporate taxation requirements, Quality and Food Safety Management Standards, and other government regulations.
- Coordinates with General & Cost Accounting, Treasury, and Admin units to ensure accurate reporting, effective cash management, and efficient administrative support.
- Performs financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting activities to support management decision-making.
- Acts as Officer-in-Charge (OIC) in the absence of the Finance & Admin Group Head, as assigned.
- Leads in employee engagement, talent retention, and career development program of the team.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned in relation to the role and its developmental objectives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
- At least 5–8 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, or related areas
- With at least 2–3 years in a managerial or leadership role
- Exposure to financial planning, compliance, and reporting
- Experience in a manufacturing or food industry is an advantage
