Accounting analyst

Job Description

• Analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports on financial performance, cost variances and budget adherence.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial statements.
• Perform trend analysis and provide actionable insights to management.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of journal entries
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and customer / vendor reconciliations.
• Handle intercompany transactions and foreign currency reconciliations.
• Monitor inventory levels, inventory valuations, and COGS
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs and track manufacturing variances.
• Support physical inventory counts and stock reconciliation
• Communicate with Mandarin-speaking suppliers, manufacturers and partners in China or other regions.
• Translate or review Mandarin-language documents such as contracts, invoices, or customs documentation.
• Assist with logistics coordination customs clearance, and supplier payments involving Chinese counterparts.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Assist in tax compliance including VAT, customs duties and corporate taxes where applicable.
• Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping in line with regulatory requirements.
