About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer to ensure the stability and performance of a Java/Spring-based eCommerce and logistics SaaS platform. In this role, you'll troubleshoot production issues, resolve API integration problems, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to deliver long-term solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and resolve production incidents across APIs, backend services, and integrations.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive permanent resolutions.
- Troubleshoot REST and SOAP API integrations using Postman and related tools.
- Monitor system health using observability tools such as Splunk, ELK, or Datadog.
- Analyze logs, SQL queries, and Linux environments to diagnose production issues.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to validate fixes and improve platform reliability.
- Develop runbooks, knowledge base articles, and process improvements.
- Support automation initiatives to improve incident response and reduce resolution time.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5–6 years of experience in Technical Support, Production Support, or Backend Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Solid experience troubleshooting REST and SOAP APIs using Postman.
- Experience with Splunk, ELK, Datadog, or similar monitoring tools.
- Strong SQL skills using MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.
- Proficient in Linux/Unix environments and command-line troubleshooting.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
- Basic knowledge of Angular, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with JIRA or similar ticketing systems.
- Background in eCommerce, logistics, shipping, or carrier APIs (FedEx, UPS, Canada Post, etc.).
