The Purchasing Supervisor (Direct Materials) reports directly to Purchasing Manager. He or she is assigned to handle procurement of Raw Materials. Maintain positive and good relationship with suppliers. Ensures to provide needed Raw Materials to produce finished goods to satisfy our customer needs.

Provides assistance to Manager for all department concerns.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible on procurement of Raw Materials.

a.) Resin and Adhesive

b.) Inks and Solvent

c.) Spout and Zip lock

d.) Boxes and Liner
  1. Communicate with suppliers for quotations, lead time, confirmed orders and delivery commitments.
  2. Raw material monthly aging report (Bonpack and Bonflex).
  3. Provides summary of Raw Materials and Finished Goods need to bill to Bonflex.
  4. Update and encode P.R and P.O to Prime and Quadrant system.
  5. Request supplier document requirements. e.g. third party testing and any other requirements based on the need or expectation either generally implied or obligatory.
  6. Constant monitoring and answering of email and chats.
  7. Monitor material expiration/ageing.
  8. Conduct Supplier Evaluation.
  9. Search and source potential suppliers
  10. ageing report
  11. MRIS system Purchasing.
  12. 2 positions handle (Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Assistant)

Qualifications:

  1. Graduate of a 4 year Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or other Business related course. At least 3 years work experience as a Purchasing Supervisor or in a similar position.
  2. Preferably with procurement experience with manufacturing.
  3. Direct material experience.

  5. Can look for alternative suppliers local and international
  6. High Proficiency in Microsoft office is required.
  7. Pro-active, organized & efficient, willing to multi-task and able to work under minimum supervision.
  8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  9. Highly competent in: Big Picture Thinking, Problem Solving & Decision Making, Planning & Organizing, and Responsibility & Accountability.
