PURCHASING MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION- Developing and implementing purchasing strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
- Managing and leading the purchasing and warehouse teams, providing guidance, and training.
- Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating prices, and contracts, and establishing long-term relationships to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Monitoring market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as production, finance, and quality assurance, to ensure timely and accurate procurement of materials and services needed.
- Overseeing the purchase order process, ensuring accuracy, compliance with company procedures, and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Managing inventory levels and optimizing stock levels to minimize carrying costs while meeting production demands.
- Conducting regular supplier performance reviews and implementing corrective actions as necessary to maintain high-quality standards.
- Staying updated on industry regulations and best practices related to purchasing and supply chain management.
- Preparing and presenting reports and forecasts related to purchasing activities to senior management.
- Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and out-of-stock situations.
- Ensuring purchases stay within budget constraints and monitoring and forecasting future demand levels.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred, business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or any related field.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in a managerial capacity.
- Experience in inventory management, stock control, and supplier relationship management is highly valued.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills for optimal supplier terms and team collaboration.
- Thorough understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management principles, and inventory control methods.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices in purchasing and stock control.
- Preferably knowledgeable in ODOO or similar ERP.
- Can start as soon as possible.
