Finance Systems Support Senior Analyst
Finance Systems Support (FSS) Senior Analyst reports directly to the Finance Systems Support Senior Team Lead or Finance Systems Support Architect. The FSS Senior Analyst is responsible for the technical support of Finance Systems to ensure the solution within a specified domain meets the needs of the business.
The FSS Senior Analyst plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations and continuous improvement of finance systems. He provides first and second-level support, ensures system reliability, and contributes to the efficiency of financial processes across multiple domains including but not limited to general accounting, invoicing, travel and expense, and financial reporting.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The FSS Senior Analyst is primarily responsible on day-to-day system administration and support of the existing finance systems and ad-hoc services which includes the following but not limited to:
- Finance Systems Support: Provide first and second level support to the finance systems and issues. Perform basic user training and provide product information.
- Accounting Finance Systems Support: Responsible for the maintenance of administrative tasks and user access to support financial operations, financial planning, reporting systems and accounting books' period end closing.
- Invoicing Finance Systems Support: Responsible for the maintenance of administrative tasks and user access to support accurate and timely processing of payment to suppliers.
- Travel and Expense Finance Systems Support: Responsible for the maintenance of administrative tasks and user access to support accurate and timely payment of travel and expenses to employees.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation Finance Systems Support: Responsible for the maintenance of administrative tasks and user access to support timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- MEC Finance Systems Support: Responsible for the administrative tasks and user access to support the task manager system that automatically monitors and documents the progress of each item to be completed during the month end close.
- Systems Issues Troubleshooting: Basic trouble shooting and solve common problems such as username and password issues, menu navigation and system set up. Advanced trouble shooting with root cause analysis on system issues.
- Ticketing System Monitoring: Ensure all stakeholder queries are attended according to the agreed SLA.
- Project Management and Automation Support: Supports testing new features of the systems and automation initiatives as they are implemented to verify functionality. Escalates project concerns and recommends solutions to address them.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and sustain good working relationship with all stakeholders.
- Knowledge management: Create and help maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions on in-scope processes, ensuring compliance in ISO standards.
- Process Improvement: Think how to optimize activities, apply 80:20 rule and support all process improvements implementations.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or Information Systems or equivalent
- Strong solid experience (at least 4 years) of relevant finance system work experience with at least 2 years experience in Month End Close Tools, ERP Systems and in areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or General Ledger operating in Global Business Services (GBS) or Shared Service industry
- Experience in providing Level 1 and/or Level 2 support on financial systems, ability to navigate and troubleshoot system issues and knowledge in change and release management procedures.
- Experience of change/incident/problem management systems (e.g., Service Now)
- Ability to learn in-house developed IT systems and vendor products independently and quickly
- Technological literate, learn continuously such as emerging industry standards, tools and applications (AI and Big Data)
- Basic SQL or Data Analytics for analyzing financial data.
