DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the cook with receiving, sorting, stocking, and storing refrigerated food items and packing food orders
• Use the kitchen equipment effectively and efficiently
• Greet trainees warmly and train them to carry out the daily operation of the kitchen
• Work with groups, community agencies, and organizations, and to orient them on Pantry and agency activities
• Operate a pallet jack
• Keep the kitchen clean. This includes the breakdown of cardboard boxes for recycling, carrying out the trash, sweeping and sanitizing the Pantry floor, and other duties assigned by the manager
• Attend food safety training
• Perform other duties associated with the orderly operation of the Food Pantry and/or assigned by the manager
