CORE JOB DESCRIPTION
The Cashier manages guest transactions through the POS system and ensures that orders are entered correctly and transmitted to the kitchen.
This role requires maintaining accurate order entry, processing payments, assisting guests with menu questions, and coordinating with the Store Lead and kitchen team to ensure that orders are handled efficiently.
The Cashier also assists with maintaining an organized service counter and ensuring that guests receive clear communication regarding their orders.

Success in this role is measured by the following operational outcomes:
Accurate Order Entry: All guest orders must be entered correctly into the POS system, including modifiers and special requests.Efficient Payment Processing: Payments must be processed accurately and receipts must be issued correctly.
Professional Guest Interaction: Guests must receive courteous and helpful service during the ordering process.
Clear Communication with Kitchen: Orders must be transmitted clearly to the kitchen to avoid mistakes or delays.
RESPONSIBILITIES & OPERATIONAL DUTIESOrder Taking and POS Operation
The Cashier is responsible for receiving guest orders and entering them accurately into the POS system.
Payment ProcessingThe Cashier processes guest payments and ensures that all transactions are handled accurately.
Guest AssistanceThe Cashier must assist guests with menu questions and provide basic explanations of menu items when needed.
Order CoordinationThe Cashier communicates guest orders to the kitchen and monitors order progress.
Front Counter OrganizationThe Cashier must maintain a clean and organized service counter.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES & OPERATIONAL FLEXIBILITY
Due to the nature of restaurant operations, the Cashier may be assigned additional duties necessary to support front-of-house operations.
These duties may include assisting with guest service, helping maintain dining room organization, or supporting service tasks during busy periods.
