Senior Laboratory Analyst (Chemist)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Participates in the review, updates, and prepares the quality procedures relative to water and used water analysis, quality control, validation, and equipment calibration periodically.
• Executes quality management policies relative to the assigned analytical parameter.
• Performs validation of new methods and verification of standard methods based on DENR, DOH and ISO standards and government regulations (as needed).
• Analyzes 100% water/used water samples for parameters assigned based on regulatory requirements and other water/used water samples submitted to ensure compliance (i.e. process monitoring, process profiling, customer complaints, etc.).
• Identifies risks, recommends resolutions, and implements action plans in laboratory for continuous improvement and ISO 17025 compliance. (risk register/HIRAC).
• Proposes and implements action plan for nonconformance issued by Quality assurance section and accreditation bodies such as DOH, EMB-DENR, ISO 17025 and MWSS RO.
• Performs and evaluates quality assurance/control requirements related to equipment monitoring and basic troubleshooting, reagent and sample preparation, sample analysis and other analytical tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry.
• Must be a PRC registered.
• Must have at least 2 years work experience in laboratory testing preferably in an ISO 17025 laboratory.
• Computer Literate - MS Office; Good/Average oral and written communication skills.
• Good team player and can collaborate with other teams.
