Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the operation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems related to agricultural equipment, including pumps, motors, control panels, and automated systems.
- Design and implement improvements in electrical infrastructure to increase efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues in irrigation systems, grain handling equipment, climate control systems, and other farm equipment.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, agronomists, and farm operations staff to integrate electrical systems with overall farm operations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Develop and maintain documentation including wiring diagrams, maintenance logs, and technical specifications.
- Train staff on proper usage and basic maintenance of electrical equipment and safety procedures.
- Evaluate and recommend new technology or upgrades for current systems to enhance productivity and sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
- Strong understanding of agricultural electrical systems.
- Proficient in using tools for electrical diagnostics, circuit design, and system monitoring.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in field environments and occasionally travel between sites.
