Internship Opportunity
Join the Corporate Accounting Team and be part of the global partner in financial accounting excellence within World Vision. Our overall function is to lead all accounting, financial reporting, and compliance related matters for Global Centre (GC).We ensure that appropriate policies and procedures exist for the financial management of GC. We lead operational management of the global year-end audit, ensure global financial accounting processes are efficient, timely, and accurate. We also continue to improve by having a continuous improvement and customer focused mindset.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare Journal Entries: Ensure accurate preparation and posting of journal entries to the general ledger, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Analyze and Review Accounts: Conduct thorough monthly reviews of balance sheet and expense accounts, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in Reconciliation Efforts: Provide support in investigating and resolving discrepancies by collaborating with internal finance teams. Conduct preliminary reviews, prepare reconciliation reports, and escalate unresolved issues to senior team members for further action
- Maintain Documentation: Organize and manage both hardcopy and digital financial records to ensure accessibility, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

What You'll Bring:
- Tech-Savvy and Detail-Oriented: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with a willingness to learn and adapt to various financial software applications used in daily operations.

What You Need to Know:
Details- Location: This is an office-based internship with location at the GC Manila Office in Mandaluyong City. Option for remote-work on some days may be considered and is subject to assessment and approval.
- Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, or the equivalent.
- Stipend: While this internship is unpaid, interns receive a financial allowance of PHP 56.25 per hour or PHP 450 for a full eight-hour workday. This allowance is provided only for actual internship hours worked. No allowance will be granted for absences, including vacation or sick leave, as well as during holidays.
- Hours: Full-time and part-time opportunities are available (20-40 hours/week)
- Equipment: World Vision-issued laptop will be provided for the duration of the internship.
Eligibility
All candidates must meet the following requirements:
- At least 18 years of age.
- Currently residing in the Philippines
- Able to commit to at least 20 hours per week for the entire internship period
- Current student or recent graduate from an undergraduate/graduate programme (within 2 years).
- Adhere to World Vision International’s Christian Statement of Faith.
- A Memorandum of Agreement between World Vision and your school is signed and approved.
