Job Title: Associate Accounts Payable Specialist (US)

Work Setup & Schedule:

  • Hybrid (10PM to 7AM)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage, respond to and action emails in the Accounts Payable inbox.
  • Own the processing of vendor payments.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies between the Company and vendors prior to making payment in the event or receiving variances.
  • Processing invoices including payment voucher and employee reimbursements.
  • Complete a three-way match review between the invoice, purchase order, and bill of lading/receiving documents to confirm appropriate payments are made to our vendors.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors by responding to a variety of inquiries related to their accounts. Liaising with suppliers and internal customers to ensure that any creditor problems are rectified in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Review and reconcile vendors’ aging account statements
  • Assist with month-end close process, including supporting the accrual process
  • Build strong relationships across internal departments to support collaboration
  • Supplier account reconciliations.
  • Ongoing monitoring of Accounts Payable to ensure payments are made within trading terms.
  • Obtain and maintain receipts for purchases made and process these in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in team cohesiveness and team meetings.
  • Engage in reflective practice and participate meaningfully in regular supervision sessions within guidelines.
  • Other duties as directed within the scope of your skills, abilities, and experience.

What will make you a great fit:

  • CPA / Non-CPA
  • A minimum of 2-4 years demonstrated full end-to-end Accounts Payable experience, incorporating a high-volume transactional environment.
  • With US accounting experience
  • High level ability to use computer IT systems including data base management, ERP systems, MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience in Medius and GP Dynamics is a plus
  • Outstanding accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work autonomously, as well as be an active member of a team.
  • High level of customer service skills to support both internal and external clients.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
