Maintenance/ Equipment Technician

FACILITIES/EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN

JOB SUMMARY

The maintenance technician coordinates with the technical engineer, production head or the president, and work hand-in-hand with the team in ensuring machine reliability or facility efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conduct daily maintenance inspections on all of SBRC properties and equipment’s as per weekly schedule provided (Location: Capitol, Fuente, Mabini, Mactan, Minglanilla and Barili), diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
2. Execute electrical & mechanical preventive and/or corrective maintenance aligned with production plans and established standards – including but not limited to, process & product quality, and machine maintenance
3. Assist with installation and modification of manufacturing equipment’s and/or building systems.
4. Review assigned work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs. Work with available systems to manage and track completion.
5. Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
6. Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Report violations to Management.
7. Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
8. Accomplish maintenance reports, as needed; and attend turnover activities;
9. Perform other tasks and functions as may be delegated by the Immediate Superior.
10. May time to time be requested to perform repair/renovation works on facilities (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.) as needed

1. Ensure facility operations comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), fire safety, and environmental regulations.
2. Support routine inspections conducted by internal or external safety and quality auditors.
3. Maintain safe access routes, signage, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting systems.
4. Uphold cleanliness and order in facility storage areas, maintenance rooms, and exterior grounds.

1. Support renovation, installation, or relocation projects by preparing areas, moving equipment, or coordinating with external contractors.
2. Assist in planning and executing site improvement and energy efficiency initiatives.
3. Perform repair and renovation works on facilities (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical) as needed.

1. Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Immediate Superior.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of a technical/vocational course, Engineering, or an engineering-related field, preferably in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Technical certifications and/or a professional license are an advantage.
• With NCII certification with at least 2-3 years of experience in Preventive Maintenance of Facilities/ Manufacturing Industry
• Familiarity on relevant management systems in the food industry including, but not limited to, EHS Management Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), HACCP, and FSSC, is an advantage;
• With considerably significant communication and administrative skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel); and
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, climb ladders, and lift up to 25 kg.
