Inventory Accounting Specialist (Inventory Reconciliation)

JOB SUMMARY: The Accounting Specialist (Inventory) offers inter-department cross-system support with a strong focus on inventory reconciliation. This role will lead monitoring inventory transactions and controls ensuring accurate cross-system records both in quantity and valuation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform regular inventory reconciliations, ensuring that inventory records match across systems and actual inventory-on-hand and resolving any discrepancies.
• Assist with daily bookkeeping and monthly closing activities, including inventory adjustments, reconciliations and system errors, if any.
• Prepare and review inventory quantity and valuation reports, with a focus on landed costs, cost per unit, turnover, and variances.
• Collaborate with and support internal and external teams to address inventory and system-related concerns and discrepancies and ensure accurate stock levels are reflected across all system records.
• Support the accounting officer in finalizing financial statements, ensuring all accounts, including inventory, are reconciled and accurate.
• Drive improvements in inventory tracking processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency in reporting.
• Assist with compliance and tax reporting related to inventory transactions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, with exposure to inventory reconciliation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on-site 5 days/week in Mandaluyong City.
• ERP system experience, especially in inventory management,
• SAP experience is an advantage.
• RetailPro Prism experience is an advantage.
