Web Developer – Public Knowledge Website & Company Portal - Manila

Role Overview

The Web Developer will be responsible for building the technical backbone of MJA’s public-facing knowledge website and an internal company portal for team collaboration and project management. This role requires full-stack expertise to deliver a secure, responsive, scalable, and easy-to-maintain CMS-driven platform.

The ideal candidate has experience with CMS-based websites, automated content workflows, and best practices in web security, performance, and accessibility.

• Select and configure a suitable CMS (WordPress + Advanced Custom Fields preferred) or alternative solutions for public and internal platforms.
• Build responsive templates optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

• Implement automated content pipelines (e.g., CSV → posts) to streamline updates.
• Optimize website and portal for speed, efficient resource usage, and responsive performance across devices and browsers.
• Conduct QA testing with emphasis on security, accessibility (WCAG 2.1), and performance (OWASP Top 10 compliance).
• Collaborate with designers, IT leads, and stakeholders to ensure design fidelity and functional requirements.
• Deploy the website and portal, ensuring minimal downtime and zero critical bugs at launch.

• Strong knowledge of WordPress, PHP, and custom field frameworks.
• Proficiency in front-end development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, responsive frameworks).
• Experience with security testing and hardening (OWASP practices).
• Familiarity with automated content pipelines and data import tools.
• Proven track record of launching secure, large-scale, or content-heavy sites.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills within project governance frameworks.
• Experience with APIs, dashboard development, or backend logic is a plus.
