About the role

• Provide accurate and professional interpretation services during meetings, conferences, and other business interactions with Japanese clients and partners
• Translate written documents, emails, and other communication materials between English and Japanese
• Assist in the preparation and organisation of meetings and events involving Japanese stakeholders
• Act as a cultural liaison, helping to bridge the gap between Japanese and local business practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth execution of projects and initiatives
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, terminology, and best practices in interpretation and translation

• Native-level proficiency in both Japanese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as linguistics, interpretation, or translation
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a professional Japanese interpreter, preferably in a business or corporate setting
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team
• Familiarity with business etiquette and cultural norms in both Japanese and local contexts
