Kitchen Helper

Position Summary

This role helps maintain Maison Ladurée's standards for product quality, hygiene, food safety, and operational efficiency.

• Assist the kitchen and pastry teams with daily preparation tasks according to production requirements.
• Wash, peel, cut, measure, and prepare ingredients as instructed by the Chef or Supervisor.
• Assist in preparing ingredients, tools, and equipment needed for daily production.
• Support the pastry team in basic preparation activities while following standard recipes and procedures.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients to maintain freshness and quality.

• Assist chefs and production team members during food and pastry preparation.
• Prepare workstations before operations and ensure all required materials are available.
• Transfer, organize, and arrange ingredients and supplies needed for production.
• Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen supplies when required.
• Support the movement and preparation of finished products for distribution.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, workstations, equipment, and utensils.
• Wash and sanitize kitchen tools, equipment, and food preparation areas.
• Follow proper sanitation procedures and food safety standards at all times.
• Dispose of waste properly and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with company hygiene and sanitation policies.

• Follow proper food handling, storage, and safety procedures.
• Maintain personal hygiene and comply with health and safety requirements.
• Assist in monitoring cleanliness and sanitation standards within the commissary.
• Report any safety hazards, equipment concerns, or product quality issues to the Supervisor.

• Support daily production goals by completing assigned tasks efficiently.
• Assist during busy production periods and operational requirements.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Commissary Supervisor or Pastry Chef.

• At least a Senior High School graduate; vocational training in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, or related courses is an advantage.
• Previous experience as a Kitchen Helper, Kitchen Staff, Commis, Food Preparation Assistant, or similar role is preferred.
• Experience in a Food and Beverage, Restaurant, Bakery, Hotel, or Commissary environment is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow instructions, standard recipes, and food safety procedures.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen-related tasks.
• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to work as part of a team.
• Attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Willing to work shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays as required by business operations.
