Electrical Engineer - Power Generation

Your impact

This role provides the opportunity to work alongside design team members in the United States to produce detailed design documents and perform construction phase engineering services.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead
• Develop equipment specifications for equipment such as substations, switchgear, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, induction and synchronous motors, load center unit substations, etc.
• Develop key SLDs, protection philosophy, detailed SLDs, wiring diagram and schematic diagrams
• Develop equipment specifications for LV equipment such as transformer, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, induction and synchronous motors, load center unit substations, etc.
• Produce installation details and layout drawings for motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, motor control elementaries, connection diagrams, cable schedules, panel layouts and grounding, lighting, power plans under minimal supervision
• Develop design criteria and scope of work
• Develop staffing plans based on deliverables and schedule
• Provide checking and QA/QC services
• Review and approve all electrical deliverables
• Mentor subordinates

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Relevant experience in electrical engineering design with at least 2 years of experience in the electrical engineering design of simple cycle and/or combined cycle gas turbine generation projects
• Knowledge and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC), IEEE, Philippine Electrical Codes and Philippine Distribution Code and other international codes and standards
• Strong communication and technical writing skills
• Experience in concept design, FEED up to detailed engineering design
• Proficient in Revit or 2D AutoCAD

Other highly regarded qualifications include experience with:

• Working knowledge of US codes and standards
• Power system modeling and analysis proficiency using ETAP, SKM Power Tools or similar modeling software
• Protection and Control, SCADA or power system automation experience
