About the role
NYGC Services, Inc. is seeking a talented Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to join our growing technology team in Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in designing, building and maintaining our data infrastructure using Microsoft Fabric.As a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing scalable data solutions that enable our organisation to harness the power of data analytics and business intelligence. This position is integral to supporting our data-driven initiatives and ensuring seamless data flow across our enterprise systems.
What you'll be doing- Design and develop data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Microsoft Fabric and related technologies
- Create and optimise data models to support analytics and reporting requirements across the organisation
- Collaborate with data analysts, business intelligence specialists and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Implement data governance and quality standards to ensure data accuracy, consistency and security
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architectures, processes and technical specifications
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of data engineering practices
- Stay current with Microsoft Fabric updates and emerging data engineering best practices
- Support the integration of various data sources and ensure seamless connectivity across systems
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role with demonstrated expertise in building data pipelines and ETL solutions
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Fabric, including Synapse, Data Factory and related components
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling and database design principles
- Experience with SQL and proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, C# or Scala
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and its data services
- Experience with version control systems and collaborative development practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Engineer Associate or similar qualifications are highly desirable
- Experience with data security, compliance and governance frameworks is preferred
