Engineer Qualification – Land Development & Surveying

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.S. CE) from an accredited institution
• Licensed Civil Engineer (PRC Registered), required/preferred

Professional Experience:

• At least 5 years of progressive experience in land development projects, including roads, drainage, utilities, and site grading works
• Hands-on experience in surveying and geodetic works, including topographic surveys, setting-out, leveling, and as-built documentation
• Direct involvement in the planning, execution, and supervision of site development works for residential, commercial, or industrial projects

Core Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of earthworks, roadworks, drainage systems, water supply, and other horizontal infrastructure construction
• Skilled in survey data gathering, interpretation, and layout for construction purposes
• Proficient in project scheduling, cost monitoring, and work progress evaluation
• Familiarity with local standards and codes such as DPWH Blue Book, National Building Code, and relevant local ordinances
• Knowledge of DOLE safety regulations and environmental compliance requirements

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, or equivalent software for survey and land development design
• Experienced in operating and interpreting data from survey equipment (Total Station, Theodolite, GPS/GNSS, Leveling Instrument)
• Preparation of plans, profiles, cross-sections, and quantity estimates
• Competence in preparing survey reports, as-built drawings, and technical documentation

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Effective communication and coordination with project stakeholders (clients, consultants, contractors, LGUs, and regulatory agencies)
• Leadership in supervising survey teams, foremen, and subcontractors
• Ability to adapt to site challenges and ensure timely project delivery

Compliance & Certifications (advantageous):

• PRC Civil Engineer License (mandatory for engineering practice)
• Construction Safety and Health (COSH) Certificate from DOLE-accredited provider
• Training in Geodetic Surveying / CPD Units relevant to land development and surveying
