Senior QA Engineer

We are looking for a talented Senior QA Engineer to join our team. This role sits firmly in the modern QA mould: AI is embedded throughout your day-to-day workflow, from test generation and maintenance through to debugging and documentation. You'll spend less time on boilerplate and more time on the work AI can't do, including test strategy, risk analysis, exploratory testing, and quality conversations with developers and clients.

• Design and execute test strategies, plans, and cases for new and existing features across web and mobile applications
• Build and maintain automated test suites using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress, with AI-assisted authoring and self-healing approaches where appropriate
• Use AI tools (Claude, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and similar) day-to-day for test case generation from requirements and user stories, test data creation, debugging, log triage, and documentation
• Apply risk-based testing, using AI to help identify coverage gaps, failure hotspots, and traceability between requirements and tests
• Collaborate closely with developers, PMs, and clients across the SDLC, engaging at requirements and design stages to catch issues before code is written (shift-left)
• Identify, track, and report defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps and context
• Participate in product and solution design reviews to flag testability and quality risks early
• Continuously improve our QA process, frameworks, and AI playbooks, and share what's working across the team
• Critically review AI-generated tests and outputs for accuracy, business alignment, and edge case coverage

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, and/or automation
• Demonstrated, hands-on use of AI assistants (Claude, Copilot, Cursor, or similar) in real QA or engineering workflows, not just experimental use
• Strong experience with web and mobile test automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Cypress
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies across functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and API testing
• Scripting ability in JavaScript, Python, or similar, sufficient to read, debug, and extend automation code
• Experience working in agile delivery environments, ideally consultancy or multi-client settings
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (Google Cloud a plus)
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and sound testing judgment
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to translate quality risks to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience

• Experience in a consultancy or agency environment delivering across multiple concurrent clients
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform or other major cloud environments
• Experience testing eCommerce or retail platforms (Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, or similar)
• API testing experience with tools like Postman or REST Assured
• Performance testing experience (JMeter, k6, or similar)
• ISTQB or equivalent certification
