About the role
Equicom Solutions Inc., a leading provider of financial and accounting services, is seeking a talented Finance Associate to join our expanding team in Cebu, Central Visayas. As a Finance Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the overall financial operations and reporting for our Cebu branch.This is a full-time position, offering you the opportunity to contribute to the success of our dynamic organisation.
What you'll be doing- Prepare and process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to identify trends and provide insights to management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of financial information
- Comply with all relevant accounting standards, policies, and procedures
- Provide support and assistance to the Finance team as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in using financial software and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues
- Ability to work well in a team environment and under tight deadlines
- Knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and best practices
- Familiarity with the accounting regulations and compliance requirements in the Philippines
